“Our job is improving the quality of life, not just delaying death” ~Dr. Patch Adams
From an early age, Megan felt drawn to the human body and its relationship with the world around it. She noticed how shifts in the seasons affected people differently, how symptoms changed with environment, stress, and time. This curiosity became the foundation of her path into medicine.
Her early career led her into the Western medical system, where she worked as a Wound Care Specialist in a Burn Center ICU. There, alongside highly skilled trauma physicians and nurses, she gained deep respect for both the precision of modern medicine and the body’s remarkable capacity to heal itself. Working in such an intense, high-acuity setting shaped her understanding of resilience, compassion, and what it truly means to care for another human being.
As her desire to continue learning grew, Megan began to feel called toward a different approach. While honoring the strengths of Western medicine, she sought a model that viewed the body not as separate systems, but as an interconnected whole. This led her toward a medicine that considers physical, emotional, and environmental factors as inseparable.
Megan believes the physical and emotional selves are deeply intertwined—when one is supported, the other responds. Every person’s story, body, and experience is unique, and treatment should reflect that individuality. Her work is rooted in thoughtful, personalized care that honors the body’s innate wisdom and capacity for balance and healing.
